Regenasis is Hammersmith & Fulham Council's regeneration agency. It was created in 1997 to manage government funding which support a number of community based projects. The diversity initiatives within Regenasis were developed in 2001 to manage and deliver a number of training, employment and equal opportunities initiatives. These initiatives included:
  • The West London Equal programme to pilot new ways of tackling inequality and discrimination in the workplace with Ј3 million funding from the EU. This programme piloted the HR Healthcheck which provided which consisted of 10 days free consultancy to businesses in West London to help review and improve their HR policies and procedures, and provide follow-up one-to-one support on how equality practices could be improved.
  • A diversity programme funded by the DTI to deliver diversity training and cultural awareness training to staff. This was in partnership with the Housing Department of Hammersmith & Fulham Council and Unison.
  • A programme of mandatory diversity training courses (1 day) for all staff of Hammersmith & Fulham Housing Management Services.
  • Diversity training for Board Members and staff of North Fulham New Deal for Communities.
  • 1 day Corporate recruitment and selection (1 day) and interviewing training courses (half day) for Hammersmith & Fulham Council.
  • An employment and training programme funded by the London Development Agency to provide training and financial assistance to help refugees with professional backgrounds to move back into their original profession.
Regenasis has a good track record of working successfully with both the private and public sector on equality and diversity initiatives. The consultants and trainers have a wide range of skills, competencies and experience of delivering employability, diversity and cultural awareness projects.
